Hello all, a heads up!
We have been investigating this issue for several months with Microsoft. We had some users reporting their inbox or calendar or both suddenly were under the 'deleted items' folder in Outlook. We were not able to find the issue, nor was Microsoft. As these folders are special folders, a user should not be able to delete these anyway. Last week, I stumbled accross this article.

If you also experience this issue, it might be advisable to subscribe to the article, and to inform your sales representative that you would like this issue to be fixed quickly.
What happens in short:
A secretary has the mailbox and calendar of her manager attached to her profile as secondary mailbox. To do 'housekeeping' she/he selects the inbox folder in the left pane, and presses delete button. The EV Add-In prompts to confirm to delete both shortcut and archived item, only shortcut, or cancel. When selecting first or second choice, inbox moves to deleted items. Shortcuts remain ( :) )in inbox. The inbox has to be moved back to the original location by internal support by using MFCMapi.
We have been going through our incident system, and have found that the issue indeed only occurs on secondary mailboxes.

And there is a nice blog about it :)
And I know it's nice, because I wrote it.
