We're in the process of virtualising our EV solution and currently have physical servers running in a Building Block config and we use the USL feature to periodically fail these over. we now plan to use VMware SRM and so don't need these servers in our EV site any longer. The Building Block servers were used for DR only and didn't actively archive any items as they were on our DR site and archive\Index data is being replicated over to the DR site. We had to fiddle around with the presentations a bit but it did work ok.
So, my question is can I simply decommission these servers by deleting any tasks and services and then delete the servers from the EV site? Is there anything more that should be done?
I'm also planning to upgrade the EV version from EV9 to EV10 (will go to EV 11 a little later and so wanted to get these Building Block servers removed before the upgrade to avoid having to upgrade these servers too (as they're about to be decommissioned).
