EV FSA and volume replication

Hi all,

We are using EV FSA and replicating the volumes using Recover Point to a remote location as well for DR purposes. 

When trying to open the placeholders on DR site, we are getting either this error (for some file types: .txt, .doc for example) “An Unexpected error occurred while reading {File location}" or error (for other files: .pdf for example): “There was an error opening this document. The file cannot be accessed by the system”

I have found this tech-note http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH47395 which says that VVR is certified by Symantec.

I was wondering if this issue is because Recover Point is not supported or it is related to a different problem. any help is appreciated.

Sounds like the shortcuts are corrupt.

If you run the following command against one of the files, what do you get? My guess is "not a valid reparsepoint"

fsutil reparsepoint query 'filename' > test.txt
