EV Licensing and Usage Summary Report -- Invalid Data?

PeterWendell

I'm running EV 10.0.4 for Exchange Journaling/Discovery and Exchange Mailbox Archiving. The licensing usage and summary report shows that I am .5 TBs over my limit (.5 TBs is all I currently have archived). I thought that licensing was per active mailbox only, irrespective of size. Can someone please confirm this and maybe see if this is a bug? I'm launching the report from the EV Console\My Directory\Enterprise Server Management.

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the Journaling licensing model is by data, but may be a question for your sales person to get you the specifics on the licensing... will have a look and see what my report says though

Also you can have a look on the below PDF..

ftp://ftp.tsh.net.au/NTC/Promotional%20USB%20Drives/Symantec%20End%20Point%20USB/handouts%2020-9-11/...

As per the above doc it seems for journaling it may be realted to storage...

You need to check with Licensing team or your partner...

A_J,

Thank you for the link. It was very helpful. However, according to the document, both of our products, E-Discovery Standard for Exchange and Storage Mangement for Exchange, are licensed per user. So we should not have any limit on the amount of data we can store. It looks like a bug in the report to me, but I'll talk to the licensing folks to make sure and report back.
