EV Quota.

I want to implement the 90% storage quota policy to archived emails from mailboxes. May I know how EV will treat the 90 if mailbox quota is unlimited?

If customer has the mailbox quota of 2 GB then it would be quite easy to calculate that 90% of 2GB would be free. In the case of unlimited quota how EV will calculate to archive emails.

We are using Exchange 2003.

Regards.

Yes, you can.
But 90% of UNLIMITED is still UNLIMITED :)

So in essence... you need to set a quota for this to work.

You cannot archive by percent of quote.... unless I'm misunderstanding something.

Hello Maj.

If your archiving strategy it is based on quota, and you do not have a mailbox quota in your mailboxes then, this is what happens (dtrace of the archivetask)

4213 08:19:56.993  [9776] (ArchiveTask) <10008> EV:H :CArchivingAgent::ProcessUser() |Ignoring mailbox as we are performing percentage archiving and the user has no
quota limits applied. |

So basically it ignores the mailbox as the user has no quota limits applied.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards.
