EV Replication to DR site

We want to replicate EV data between a production EV server and an EV server at a DR site. Can DFS-R be used for this? What are the other options?

Just wondered if others are doing this and what methods/products they are using to replicate?

Hello,

There are several ways. You can use Robocopy to sync data during the backup window, but if you have a large amount of data changing, that might not finish the copy in time. You can use replication (depending on your storage device ofcourse), you might be able to use DFS-R (although I am not sure this is supported, or use EVNearSync from Quadrotech.

Yes, EVNearSync looks very interesting! What about SRM (EV VM's are all on VSphere 5.5)

Hello, again,

We use SRM to replicate the actual servers to a DR site. works like a charm. Storage is on Centera's, so that handles replication, Indexes are on physical servers, which have the index-disks from SAN (as 'mounted' disks). SAN handles replication. I'm pretty sure you can use VM replication of the disks, but have no experience with it.
