EV Uninstall

Hi Everyone,

Do we have any process documentation for  removing a EV server from particular site? I checked the admin guide and article - http://www.symantec.com/connect/articles/how-remove-ev-server-your-site

But does the steps like below would do ?

• Uninstall EV from Add/remove

• Remove the entry from Admin console.

Any suggestion son this will be really helpful. Thanks in advance

The main question is:

Is the server you want to remove having any active participation in the current Enterprise Vault site? The article Tony posted is the best way to uninstall EV, as that guides you through necessary steps to safely remove EV server.

Not following the document might give problems, because if you uninstall EV before cleaning up the console (removing services etc), you might get errors in the Console related to a missing server.

I suggest you just follow the document, and you've uninstalled EV succesfully.

Thanks for your time and response Gertjan.  Yes, the server which I am trying to uninstall does not have any funcationality in the environment at this moment. As per plan, we stopped EV services around month back and now its ready for decomission. I will follow th ebelow steps.

- Remove it from the console

- Uninstall the EV application from server.
