EV for OWA no buttons when using FQDN of CAS server

Ihac that wants to use the Enterprise Vault add-in for OWA.

When I use the address   web01/owa   I can see and use the buttons from EV and I can open a shortcut to see the original item. Archive Explorer & Archive Search both work normally.

If I use the FQDN of the CAS server   web01.Company.Location/owa   I do not get the EV buttons or functionality. A click on a short cut will only open the short cut and the buttons for search and explorer are not shown.

I cannot fathom how this can make a difference because the systems that are allowed access are defined by an IP number.

Whatever name you use it should use the same IP address.. (NETBios or FQDN)

I cannot find additional info for this particular issue..

 

environment:

EV: Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard x64, Enterprise Vault 10.0.4

EXCH: Windows Server 2008 R2 x64, Exchange 2010 with a dedicated CAS on a VM

Which version of Exchange / EV?

What Enterprise Vault settings are in the Owa.Config file? You'll find it in the Exchange install/ClientAccess/Owa folder.
