EV installation options

Hello,

EV Server Installation for EV11/12 has (besides others) these options:

- Installation on first server in new site

- Installation on an additional server

Is there any difference? I don't think so because this is decided during EV Configuration, not Installation. Am I right?

so is this an installation on one ev server or additional?

I believe if you choose to add an additional server it doesn't run through the command to create the EV Directory database as it knows that it already exists.

Hello,

I tested "Installation on an additional server" option on the very first EV server and during EV Configuration, it provided me a chance to set it up as the first EV server including creating a new Directory on it and also creating a new EnterpriseVaultDirectory database.

So it looks it makes no difference.
