EV server failover after 10000 failures within 7200 seconds

Dear all,

We have run into the error that EV server (installed on top of VCS) failover to secondary node.  The EV server is EV for Domino 8.0 SP3.

The following error was observed:

We have tried to rename the journal mailbox of Domino, and then let Domino to create a new journal mailbox.  This seems to work.  However, after about 12 hours, the problem reappeared and the server fail over to secondary node again.

Any suggestion about how to fix the problem?

EV will fail a service if there are too many errors within a short space of time. You can prevent this by using the reg key below:

NoMonitor

Location	HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SOFTWARE \KVS \Enterprise Vault \AdminService
Content	DWORD 0 - Monitor resources 1 - Do not monitor resources
Description	The Admin Service automatically monitors memory and disk space resources, logging warnings in the Application Log if necessary and, in extreme cases, shutting down Enterprise Vault services. You can use NoMonitor to force the Admin Service not to monitor resources. See also the Administration Help topic "Modifying the Admin Service" for more information about the Admin Service and a description of how to control monitoring by editing the Admin Service's startup parameters.

Have you made the changes recommended in the event log warning?:

Error: Error saving note: Cannot store document - database has too many unique field names.  Please set the 'Allow more fields in database' option or ask your administrator to compact the database.

I recommend you bring this up with your Domino Admin.  I think you can reference this:
