EV10.0.3 OWA Configuration for Exchange 2010

Hi,

We have 1 EV Server and 1 x Exchange 2010 MBX, CAS, HUB everthing in one Box

We don't publish EV URL externally. We have Published /EnterpriseVault/ using https://mail.domain.com/EnterpriseVault (Exchange services URL)

All works fine apart from opening archived items from OWA.

Looking at configuration guide it is very difficult to understand the steps required for this particular scenario.

Can anyone please provide some simple steps to configure EV archives items access via OWA?

Did you install the EV OWA Extensions on the Exchange server and run the owauser.wsf script on the EV server ?

No just installed OWA Extension.

Didn't run the script yet.

Do we have to create exchnageservers.txt and then configure anonymous data access account?

Just not sure what steps we need to follow?

Ok, I have created ExchangeServers.txt

Added Data Access account

Installed OWA Extension and 

run the OWAUser script.

Now OWA works fine as expected.

However when running EVORT test it says. Do we need to do that? access to EV Archived items via OWA working fine now without adding that key. Is that required?

Solution:

1. On the reported CAS Server, open the Web.Config file (Program Files->Microsoft->Exchange Server->ClientAccess->OWA) .
2. Verify that the EWS setting “EnterpriseVault_ExchangeWebServicesURL” contains a valid reference to an Exchange Server. This can be specified as an alias, name or IP Address and include port numbers.

Example: <add key=EnterpriseVault_ExchangeWebServicesURL” Value=”https://Localhost/ews/exchanges.asmx”/>

If the items open and you can archive/restore etc, I wouldn't change any config options

Hi,

we  were runnign exchange 2007, recently we have upgraded to exchagne 2010. but the Evault is not working with new environment.

i have installed Enterprise vault extensions on Exchange CAS servers, can you please share the procedure to follow for configuring Enterprise Vault with Exchange 2010.

Update exchangeservers.txt on the EV server. Then rerun the owauser.wsf script.
