Hi all,
Does someone know if it's possible, and how we can do, to move a VaultStore Partition from local disk (D:\ptn01) to a NAS device (\\mycifsserver\ev$\ptn01 for exemple) in the same VaultStore. Or do we need to create a new VaultStore?
Thanks.

Hello Marvin,
Thanks for the link, I already saw it, but is it working from a partition on a DAS to a NAS? In the example they only show "E:\..." paths. If in the SQL row I enter an UNC path it should work?
Thanks!

The process is essentially the same regardless of the platform the VSp is currently on. Put the VS in backup mode (preventing any changes), copy it to the new location and then run through the steps to identify the new location in SQL.

Ok thanks I'll do that,
Do I also need to change the "RemotePartitionRootPath" entry? It points to local UNC, the one I want to remove.
Thanks.

Ok I did it. It seems to be ok, no errors and users don't complain. The only thing is when I look on the Partition's properties, under "Device Type" it's still "NTFS Volume". Could it be an issue?
Thanks.
