EV8 SP5: Monitor was not run because it requires the Enterprise Vault Storage service to be running

we have 122 warnings in our VAC that state:

"EV8 SP5: Monitor was not run because it requires the Enterprise Vault Storage service to be running."

This relates to different alerts including:

* Deleted items waiting to be deleted from indexes

* Items waiting to be restored

* New items awaiting backup or replication

* space in vault store database log

I have checked all EV servers and the storage service is running on all of them, restarting the services hasn't helped either

Any ideas?

Re-run the scan and it should update. If not then it may also be that you have outdated warnings in the MonitoringHistory table in the EV Directory database. You could do a database backup and then clear the entries and you should see the status change to green after a refresh.

I have re-ran the scan and it does refresh down to 3 messages but then reverts back to 122 warnings ??

what are the exact steps to take regarding the MonitoringHistory DB ?

Do an sql backup and then highlight all rows in the MonitoringHistory table in the EV Directory database and then right click and delete. Now run the scan again and hopefully all will be green :)
