EV9 Install OWA2003

Whilst attpempting to install OWA2003 extensions on the front-end server the install failed.  After a few troubleshooting steps we decided to unistall the extensions.  Now, OWA does not allow any user to log-in on the front-end server.  Back-end works just fine.

I ensured that the OWA extensions were completely uninstalled, virtual directory removed, etc...

Ideas on how to get OWA back up?

well to be honest, its all a little vague, can you describe whats going on? is it not accepting your username and password? is it giving you a status code after you put in your credentials? does it work by going to the netbios or the ip address of the front end? is it network loadbalanced or is it a stand alone front end server?

Have you ensured the virtual directories have been removed from the ESM sites not just IIS?
Is there any thing in the IIS logs or in the event logs or exchange logs that might be indicating a problem?
Is iis actually up and running?
Are you going to http://FESServer/Exchange/User or /owa/user or just /exchange or just /owa?
do you use anything like RSA or any custom OWA scripts that you've developed in house?
Have you checked the versions of the control files have been put back in their correct place and it doesn't have the EV Control files listed that you tried to remove?

etc etc etc
