Hi ,
Please be informed that our email archiving policy is auto archive emails which older then 30 days and Outlook will create a Vault to show the archive emails. we have a share account (call "shareaccount_1") and user "user_1" has permission to access this share account and map to Outlook.
Our question is that if we enable email archive function for the share account, May I know user_1's outlook can show the share account's Vault in Outlook (user_1 didn't enable archive emails function) and archive function is normal in this account?
Thanks

or should I enable EV functiaon for "user_1" as well so the user_1 can access shareaccount_1's vault in outlook?

So User_1 is not enabled in EV? If the user isn't enabled they won't have the EV Add-in buttons in Outlook so won't be able to recall archived items. You could enable them with an archive policy that doesn't archive anything, ie. archive everything older than 999 years. Also, do not allow them to manually archive and restrict their options.

Hi Ryan, it is not a must that the second user is enabled in EV to access the shared archive, but it would be recommended.
