Hello EV Admins
This forum is in continuation of below forum:
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/enable-mailboxes-automatically-archiving
Basically I configured environment so that all new mailboxes are enabled for archiving by default except if they are Macintosh user (due to lack of Outlook 2011 EV 9 Supportability)
So I zapped all disabled archives (removed EV system message from those mailboxes) using EVPM script. And then configured provisioning groups to enable all new mailboxes for archiving.
In this effort - we nearly enabled 3000 mailboxes which include Hidden or AD Disabled mailboxes. Following registries were added to Enterprise vault servers accordingly before handed.
ExcludeDisabledADAccounts = 0
Location
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Agents
ProcessHiddenMailboxes = 1
Location
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Agents
Apart from same, SynchInMigrationMode is set to 1, ProfileExpire is set to 1, Services are restarted every week as best practice, DS Server is pointing to a wrtable global catalog server with NSPI limit set to max. EV/SQL hardware utilization is normal - No peak on RAM/CPU/Disk i/o
Also made sure that all disabled/hidden mailboxes have mailbox size limit set to database defaults.
Now i see on already enabled mailboxes (before enabling these 3000 mailboxes) - there is a backlog on archiving for like 3 to 4 days. All items older than 30 days should be archived by EV however last archived item is showing as 19th January 2012.
All Queues on EV servers are moving fine from A6 to A1. There are all fresh items in those queue.
Event log have variety of errors whcih include:
Error 2244 - An error occured whilst processing message titled: <title of message> - Message will be changed to archive pending
Error 3007 - Could not build saveset for message mentioned in Error 2244
Error 3196: Error occured wihlst synchronizing the properties of mailbox : <legacy DN of mailbox> - Error 0x8004060c
So on.....
Just wondering if this backlog will clear out eventually & I just need to be patient or something I can do to fasten this up or revert back the changes so that less mailboxes are enabled for archiving at a time?

Sure, I will open up a case and post the findings here. But I was just wondering if anyone knows that backlog created due to enabling 3000 mailboxes together is usual or something that shouldn't happen?
