Enterprise Vault 11.0.1 - Exchange Mailbox Archiving Task failing

Hi Team,

We have deployed Veritas Enterprise Vault 11.0.1 CHF4 Mailbox Archiving Environment.

Exchange Version: Exchange 2013 CU3

Exchange Mailbox Archiving Task failing to start for one of Exchange Servers; below are the event id's in EventViewer:

event id 3460 : The Task 'Exchange Mailbox Archiving Task for EXDRSERV' failed to log on to Exchange server 'EXDRSERV' using mailbox 'SMTP:EVMBX@domain.com'

event id 2256 :The Archiving Task 'Exchange Mailbox Archiving Task for EXDRSERV' could not be started due to startup errors.

event id 3413:The system mailbox is not on the same Exchange Server that the Mailbox archiving task processes. This may result in decreased archiving performance.

Mailbox archiving task: Exchange Mailbox Archiving Task for EXDRSERV

System mailbox: SMTP:EVMBX@domain.com
System mailbox database: MailboxDatabase
System mailbox Exchange Server: EXPRSERV

Archive task Exchange Server: EXDRSERV

EXDRSERV is the DR Site Server and EXPRSERV is production server.

We have tried recreating the task by mounting the database "MailboxDatabase" on DRServer but it starts to fail.

Can anyone suggest as to what it could be?

So you deleted the archving task and made a new one? What type of errors are you getting in the event log after doing that? You might want to dtrace  the archiving task and see where its pooping itself.

Run the dtrace with the command line while logged in with  the vault service account

Recreated the Archive Task again with "Number of concurrent connections to Exchange Server" : 5 and it didnt fail.

Thanks guys for your help.
