Enterprise Vault 6

Hi

Help!

Is Enterprise Vault 6 supported on Windows 2003 Enterprise?  If it is, will EV take advantage of increased memory allocation or is EV 6 limited in some way?

Apologies for my ignorance...and thanks for help in advance.

Regards

EV 6 is a 32bit application and as such, is subject to the memory limitations like any other 32bit app in windows. as for compatibility, EV6 is no longer supported so you're not going to find anything about it in the latest compatibility charts. however, it will work on Windows 2003 Enterprise but again you'll gain no benefit over Win2k3 std.

It's also worth noting that on the Certification Charts for EV 6, there are some caveats / need-to-know information if installing on Windows 2003.

If you can't find a copy of the charts online, then your best route is to contact Symantec Support.

My only question would be ...  Why Enterprise Vault 6 on Windows 2003?
