Enterprise Vault 9 - How can I tell if data is moving to Secondary Storage Location

Hi,

Last night we changed the location of our EV secondary storage location from DD1 to DD4 (data domain devices).  Everything seems to be okay, we can recall archived files, but I am concern that the current data held on the EV server on its local drive (H:\  where the collection files are migrated first does not seem to be going down).

What we did:

(1) Increased all the "vault store partition's collection - Migrate files older than" from 1 month to 7 months so that we can perform file sync

(2) file sync between the two data domains was successfully

(3) changed the configuration on the EV sql server (database = EnterpriseVaultDirectory, table = VaultStoreEntry) so that it points to the new Data Domain (DD4).

(4) tested, able to recall archived files.

(5) changed the configuration on the EV server so that it now migrates files older than 7 days ( and remove collection files from primary storage = 2 days).

Notices the H:\ drive (primary has not gone down in size).

Thanks,

Kwinter

has the target gone up in size?

Not really, it's on a de-duplication device so it's hard to see.  But the Source has yet to go down.

There is an additional setting for the age when the migrated files are removed from the primary storage.  Have you checked that setting?
