Hi,

Yeasterday, the Enterprise Vault Office Mail App, start showing this error in the following browser Microsoft Edge(Chromium), Chrome and Firefox:

Spoiler
"This add-in has been disabled to help keep you safe. To continue using the add-in, validate that this item is hosted in a trusted domain or open it in the Office desktop app."

Using the Internet Explorer 9 is working.

Does anyone have this problem? I believe its a Microsoft issue because this reddit user has the same problem with other MailApp https://www.reddit.com/r/exchangeserver/comments/jbz1zp/exchange_addin_disabled_to_keep_you_safe/

I have run into the same problem in Exchange 2016 CU16 / EV 12.4.0

Enterprise Vault requires access to https://appsforoffice.microsoft.com/lib/1.0/hosted/office.js to load the Office Mail App for EV as documented here

Apparently, there has been a change in this file on 13-Oct-20 which causes custom add-ins in OWA to break. A similar scenario has been discussed here

A fix for this has been released as KB4581424 which applies to Exchange 2016 CU17 and CU18. Need to test and verify if this fixes the problem.

Its worked, I still get the Dialog Box and the first warning, but then work

You mean to say KB4581424 has resolved the problem?

Yes, after click "CONTINUE" it work.

My environment:

  • Exchange 2016 CU 17 with KB4581424
  • Enterprise Vault 11.0.1 CHF 5
  • Windows 10
  • Edge (Not the Chromium)

Give an hour to test with other Browsers

Hi,

My first test was in Labs with a test account, now I upgrade my Exchange Server, and I can confirm everything is working OK.

The first time I logged in I get this Pop up

And everything is working OK
