You need to perform the following actions:

Open the Enterprise Vault folder.

1. Open the Server folder.
2. Double-click SETUP.EXE to start the installation.
3. Follow the installation instructions. When you are prompted to select the features to install, select Enterprise Vault Reporting

Apart from that, please take a look to the following detailed instructions:

Most people's SSRS box are shared and my DBA's will not run an exe/installer/config tool on ours without knowing what exactly it does (and I agree).

We also don't want to install on our test boxes as the installer wants .net 1.1 and we don't want to have to go and install it on all our SSRS boxes just to get this exe to run.

But there are no instructions or no specific details that I can find (including opening a case with Symantec) telling me what exactly happens when the exe and config tool runs.

I'm amazed at this!

I'd prefer just to be given (or have the choice to be given) the rdl's etc. and I suspect the same for many others.

Can anyone advise how to manually install reporting?

Cheers,

Aengus

You're right to tread carefullly as it'll take down you're SSRS by changing the authentication model = PAIN!

Install it, go immediately to rsconfuig  file and correct as per above and you're home free.

manual install isn't supported, pure and simple
the best thing you can do is install it on a text box and give them the log file generated, it gives very specific instructions as to what it does on each step
i.e registering the custom data source, changing the config files etc
