Enterprise Vault not truncating sql Logs

We have EV 2007 for Exchange installed and are trying to back it up using the EV agent for Backup Exec 12. The jobs are running successfully but it is not backing up the SQL Log file for the Vault Store DB. This is a huge concern as the log will continue to grow and we aren't getting a backup of it. Also it does not seem to be committing the logs when we run a backup. The recovery model for our DB is currently set to full and we do not want to have to go to simple as we will lose our ability to do incremental backups of EV. Has anyone ran into this issue? What is the resolution?

Is this still an open issue for you?  Sorry, just noticed this one.

This is an issue for us as well. The EV job completes successfully but does not backup the trans logs or truncate them.

To resolve this issue place the EV Database in Simple Recovery Mode instead of Full Recovery.  Once you have done this then run a shrink of the logs in SQL to get the logs back to a reasonable size.  At this point the logs should truncate when backups run.

It is normal for the SQL transaction log files to remain the same size even after they have been truncated. The truncate function only increases the free space in the log file.
