Depends really which one you are going for as there are two EV8 exams.
But honestly it'd come from real world experience and what you get taught in class and in the manuals

Nothing though beats real world experience

As far as I know, there is no virtual exam available for download.
As far as I can find, there is no ' cram'  available. For Microsoft exams, you can find several exam-crams. For EV, you will not. It is an exam not to widely done. There are not many certified EV-admins.

Work with the product.
Read the manual.
Browse the forum, articles, blogs.
Follow a training on EV.

There is no virtual exam.  The exam covers a wide range of topics relating to EV (PST migration, EV client issues, enabling users, etc.)

I would suggest that if you have the recommended 6+ months experience with EV for Exchange, feel comfortable performing daily EV administration (per administrator's guide) and you study\prepare you have a good chance to pass the test.  The questions are not overly difficult or confusing.

I will say though that the exam (at least the one i was fully involved in) is harder than the EV2007 exams
The technical  experts would probably ace the exam aimed at sales people without too much hassle
but the advanced technical exam? i think theres enough in there that should tax most ev techs

I sat both the 2007 beta and the 80 beta, and found that the 80 exam is for the experienced admin. If you ga into it blank, you will fail. If you go in having a few months experience you might pass. If you go in well-prepared (perform an install in a demo-environment, work with it, read on pst-migration and forum!) you will pass.

I need to recertify for EV 2007 in May...does anyone know if this exam also includes DOMINO questions?

The original exam pertained to EXCHANGE only...however since the structure for these exams have changed...I'm wondering if the above will also be included.

Hi Gertjan,

Sorry...for not being clear...what changed is that Symantec Partners can no longer take these exams online, and must take certification exams at regular testing centers...similar to Microsoft testing.
