Hi all,

I'm running EV 8.0 sp1 to three windows 2008 SP1 WOW64.
I usually have the error message several time

 That error is RPC server unavailable.

Any issues with the SQL server holding the EV db's at around these times?  Are you archiving at this time?

The sql server is consuming 90% of processor.
I have this error during the night when the server is archiving items..

 OK - that may be it then - just losing connection to it.  What is the SQL server spec?  Any other DB's activities apart from EV happening at that time?

This is SQL 2005 sp2.
This server was used for SQl server DB for EV and EV server, but now this is only for EV DB.
No additionnal db configured on it.
In this server I have a lot of DCOM error 10016.

 Another question, was this an upgrade from earlier version of EV?  It is probably the Updated metadata feature in EV8 that may be causing the high utlisation and then connectivity issues to SQL.

A way to test - can you go into your Mailbox policy and from the Moved Items tab, uncheck the option - synchronise - then see what happens tonight during the archive run.
