Error Loading Archived Attachments

I have a user that can't open any archived attachments from his local Outlook client. It looks like a local issue since everything works fine if he uses another machine. When he opens the shortcut he sees the error "There was an error loading this item some functionality may not be available." He is on Win XP, Outlook 2003 and we are running EV 2007 SP1. One other interesting clue when he tries to access archive explorer he get's an Internet Explorer Script Error. If you click yes the error just keeps coming up.

When we have had other users in the past with this error one of the following has fixed it but none have worked with this user:

• Ran a Detect and Repair on Outlook
• Installed all Office Updates up to SP3
• Uninstalled Outlook and Enterprise Vault
• Installed Outlook and Enterprise Vault
• Created a new Outlook Profile

Any suggestions on what else to try?

Can you click on the gray bar where the "there was an error loading this item" appears - this will give you an additional error - this is the one we are really after :)

This problem is now resolved. Apparently the user has modified their DNS settings. Once we fixed the DNS setting he is now able to retreive archived items.
