Hi all,

I am getting this error on and off for a while now, and today it is being recoreded in the Event Logs every few minutes.

Could someone enlighten me on what it means and more importantly how I can get rid of it?

----------

Not sure if it is related or not,

I also have a backlog in the mesasge queues as shown:

Enterprise Vault Exchange Mailbox Task for USEXCH01 060302132244 A5 6343
Enterprise Vault Exchange Mailbox Task for USEXCH01 060302132244 A6 2127
Enterprise Vault Exchange Mailbox Task for AZEXCH 060302133133 A5 985
Enterprise Vault Exchange Mailbox Task for USEXCH01 060302132244 A2 347
Enterprise Vault Exchange Mailbox Task for ABEXCH 060302132953 A5 310
Enterprise Vault Exchange Mailbox Task for DASEXCH 060302132743 A5 297
Enterprise Vault Exchange Mailbox Task for SCEXCH 060302133421 A5 178
Enterprise Vault Exchange Mailbox Task for WNEXCH 060302133309 A5 92

These haven't changed for the past few hours, and were decreasing slowly this morning. I have tried restarting all the EV services to no avail.

If anyone could throw any light what is going on here that would be great.

Err sorry - I was being impatient. The A6 and A2 queues are now back to zero. So now I just have th A5 queues which from what I have read, will be processed in due course (when the tasks are activated)...

This also appears to have cleared out my dreaded Mapi Mutex problem as well for the moment

Sorry - please disregard this for the time being - unless there is something in here that you feel I have missed.

Hi Mick,
This technote may help with the error in the future.

http://support.veritas.com/docs/285130

Generally a restart of the EV services clears out mapi profiles that may be hanging around and preventing a new connection to exchange. There are some other tips in the technote to look at as well.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Paul - Exactly the info I was looking for to get started. Oh and the queues are all down to 0 now ;)

Thanks again.

There's a regkey that sets the mapi timeouts...I'd set that 2 vs the 3 it is by default for you. Might help prevent this in the future.
