Has anyone got any ideas on this one please?
The files get archived successfully but when the placeholder service tries to make a placeholder it errors saying the system cannot find the file specified.
There is a technote on this error which suggests the issue is with the placeholder service being a lower verson than the EV service but this is not the case.
The server in question is a Dell PowerEdge 6600 and this is the main difference from the other FSA server a Compaq G2 which works as expected.
I have tried stopping the McAfee services to see if they are interfering with the placeholder creation but makes no difference.
Any ideas?
Cheers.

Hi - Yes to see if I got the same error and I did - here is an example of the error after trying to make the placeholder;
Its a strange one this as the same EV server can archive another server with no problems. This is a Dell poweredge have you heard of any issues with the placeholder service on them?
Regards.

This probably has nothing to do with server type, I suspect.
Are there any placeholders which were successfully archived?
Is there anything more in the Eventlog?
Could you post the full path to the file? Maybe there is something "special"?
Cheers
Michel

Here is the full path of one of the files from the archive report. BTW none of the files have been made placeholders yet as this is a brand new FSA target which has never worked.
There are no related errors in the event logs on either server.
I have changed the server name in the path.
Thanks,
Matt.
