Errors 6796: A COM exception has been raised and 7264: ISN Out of Range

Hello,

one of our customers has updated his system to EV 8.0.1.
He still gets the errors 6796: A COM exception has been raised and 7264: ISN Out of Range.
The Article

says these errors have been fixed in EV 2007. What can the reason for these issue be?

The explanation of why this happens is explained very well in the technote that you referenced. Essentially looking at the fix the only thing that was done was to up the amount of retries that we do when this deadlock situation is encountered.

As this has been fixed in EV 2007, have you introduced this bug again? (aka lowered the number of retries...) :)
What can he do to remediate this? Downgrade to 2007? :)

I believe you should open a case @ SYMC, that they can fix it (again)...

It was never "fixed" as such even in 2007. As stated we just upped the amount of retries as this was not reproducable and a very rare occurance. So even if he had EV2007 the same would apply.
