So you're talking about file archiving and Mac clients?

See this:

You'll need the Group Logic ArchiveConnect product to keep Macs from recalling all the file shortcuts in folders they browse.

Do you mean a quota for archived items?

You can configure quotas on the site properties or on the individual archive properties on the "archive usage limit" tab.

i mean quota for recovering archived items.

my mac users should not bring online too much of files at once.

And you can set archive limits - check the properties of an archive, and you'll see the tab showing the limits, and allows you to change them.

You can set them at a site level too, so it applies to all archives on that site.
