Hello Ameen,

Did the upgrade went succesfull? Did the databases upgrade fine (events in eventlog should show they're upgraded)
Any problems perhaps with transactionlogfiles too big? (on sql)

The 8390 you can get if the admin-service is not started yet. (ie directory services tries starting before adminservice is completely running.

Whch sql version are you using. This seems to be an issue using sql2000.

Hi Gertjan,

My SQL version is 2005 SP2 and the upgradation went success i have the events as well.

As you have mentioned i suspect this issue may be due to the transaction log size, could you please help me in reducing the size of transaction log filein SQL?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I have reduced Transaction log file size by doing a backup wiith the below querry,

backup log <your database name> with truncate_only

Now the size is very less. After find the reduction of size i have restarted the EV Directory service in the server and got the same error. Can you suggest any?
