I have an EV 10.0.4 environment and the event logs are flooded with Event ID 29014 -The RPC server is unavailable. erros  and Event ID 6287

Storage DCOM error.
Reason: The RPC server is unavailable.  (0x800706ba)

event ID 6287

Unable to fetch item from "EVserver01.uk.wspgroup.com".
Reason: The RPC server is unavailable.  (0x800706ba)

This happes occasionally. Your easiest 'fix' is to reboot the server. (evserver01)

You could verify on the server if there are issues with services not running, memory full etc.

RPC server unavailable is it either can't resolve it can't communicate with that EV server (I.e. Firewall) As long as you can ping the servers, gertjans suggestion of reboot is the best idea If you can't ping it, then you have bigger problems
