Exchange 2010

We are depoying Exchange 2010 in a mixed 2003/2010 environment. We currently have envelope journaling enabled in Exchange 2003 and wish to continue this until we have fully migrated to 2010, and Enterprise Vault fully supports Exchange 2010. We have been able to successfully implement journaling to a 2003 mailbox, however we have found that the envelope reports are in a different format to the 2003 reports. In particular, we see that 2010 has expanded the recipient field to hold To:, CC: etc. Also, of concern, is that the display name is no longer displayed in the report, as it is in 2003. Our problem is that it now takes longer for EV journaling to process the reports, and also that our search process might include display name, as it is possible that email address may change, so we may end up missing recipients in discovery processes.

Our question is, can we at all customize the envelope reports to mirror the 2003 reports, so that all recipients are listed under a recipients tag, and also that display names are included?

I've include journal reports sent from a mailbox on Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2010 to show the differences.

Exchange 2003 example:
Sender: "e2k3"
Message-ID: <79BF732E7DC5BC4DB75AC8261E113E3D09483E@exchange2003.domain.com>
Recipients:
"e2k10"

Any Help or info. would be greatly appreciated!

then use Exch2003 as your journaling servers, this changed in Exchange 2007 so it really is just the way it is
you can read more about it here:

Hi John,

"and Enterprise Vault fully supports Exchange 2010"

Where did you get that info from?  EV doesn't fully support Exchange 2010, not until v9 at least.

Thanks,
BZ

BZ, I think if you read it more closely, john acknowledges its not supported "We currently have envelope journaling enabled in Exchange 2003 and wish to continue this ****until**** we have fully migrated to 2010, and Enterprise Vault fully supports Exchange 2010" the *'s added for my emphasis

So, does this mean that tere will be no way of performing this until EV 9.0?

Our question is, can we at all customize the envelope reports to mirror the 2003 reports, so that all recipients are listed under a recipients tag, and also that display names are included?  My client says that they are different and wants them to look like the 2003 reports.

Thanks for all your help!  I told my client the same thing about needing to go to MS Exchange for information.

Thanks again!
