Exchange Archived Mailboxes - Question...

Just wondering.

In the picture that I attached here, what is the metric that the system uses when doing the exchange mailboxes split?

Until 2 days ago in that directory I had about 6 of those mailboxes divisions, since this morning it spread and I have 25 mailbox divisions...

How does the EV calculation goes in a case like this?

That can be managed via a registry key:

ArchiveListChunkThreshold

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SOFTWARE\KVS \Enterprise Vault\Directory \DirectoryService

or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SOFTWARE\wow6432node\KVS \Enterprise Vault\Directory \DirectoryService

Default is 5000.

Controls the maximum number of archives that the Administration Console displays. If there are more archives than this limit the Administration Console displays them in A-Z subcontainers.
