i would like to ask if any reason I can not export mail from Journaling archive.
I setup for testing Journaling for my mailbox and now company has to go for Journaling archiving using EV8. I would like to export all email from archive to free space and start from scratch.
It does not work for me.
Could you please tell me if any restriction to do this on Jouraling archive compariong with regular user archive
Seeing as you want to start from scratch and it is a test Jorunal mailbox why bother extraxting it and just delete it and create a new one for the live journal?
What i understood that I can delete mailbox. I would like to keep mailbox only eliminate archive. I can not delete archive unless I allow users delete items from acrchive. And this one I do not want to configure.
Do I understand you just want to delete the archive?
If yes, do this:
1. Create a new journal archive
2. point the journal mailbox to store items in this archive
3. make sure the retention category allows deletes
4. delete the archive
You can delete whole archives without letting the user delete anything.
You delete the Archive in the Vault Administration Console (VAC), under the "Archives" node.
That is why if you look at my steps I said to create a new one.
1. Create a new journal archive
2. point the journal mailbox to store items in this archive
3. make sure the retention category allows deletes
4. delete the archive
