I amd going to add a new volume to the server via the wizard. It tells me it will add an exisitng volume to server "server1" which is not the server that I added and installed the FSA agent on. Is there a way to change the wizard so it sees the correct server name?

I am a bit confused, are these the steps you are following?

To add a volume

In the Administration Console, expand the Enterprise Vault site until the Targets container is visible.

Expand the Targets container.

Expand the File Server container to show the file servers that have been added.

Right-click the file server from which you want to add a volume and then, on the shortcut menu, click New and then Volume.

Work through the wizard to finish adding the volume.

If yes, could you post a screen shot?

yes, those are the steps I am following - on the New Volume Wizard screen - it states "This wizard will hlep you to add an existing voluem for archiving on the file server " fs1" but that is not the name of the file server that I added under Targets|File Servers.

What happens when you PING fs1?  Is Server1 a DNS CNAME Alias?

I verified that DNS is working correctly. There is no CNAME either.
