FSA Reporting Wev service fails

Hi all,

we have an ENterprise Vault Server "9" running, unfortunately since yestarday I allways get this error message: Enterprise Vault cannot access the FSA Reporting Web service at ' https://myserver/FSAReporting/FSAReporting.asmx' Enterprise Vault may not save FSA Report settings".

The message comes up allways i click on any point in the Administration Console under "File Servers" i can just close this message and work without any problems.

Can any one help me to resolve this issue?

PS. I can open this page: https://maserver/FSAReporting/

Hi Tony,

sorry bit it didn't work for me, because I have the correct entry in WSLocation: https://myevaultserver.mydomain.de and SiteEntryID has something like that: 158E81.....d1000myevaultserver.mydomain.de

Any other Ideas?

now I have an other strange thing, the user can't open the archived files anymore. The error ist just "can't open a file" but i can do a bulc recall with  FSAUtility.exe -b -s "\\myshare..." -recurse

The only thing we have done last weeks is to recal lot of TB of data, but the jobs seems to be finished.

Any ideas?

Is the placeholder service running?  What type of file server is it.

Hi,

it still running and we have1 Server 2008 and 2 Server 2003 running with the same issue.

So i think this issue should be on the evault server.

PS. i checked the placeholder service on all 3 fileseres, is that what you mean?

So what has changed in the environment?  Obviously something has if it was working one day and then not the next.  Were there any updates applied?  Are there any errors in the EV logs?

Nothing, no updates where istalled, just really huge recall, which is still in work.

I have added one more file server to the file server list

The errors i have in the eventlog "Symantec Enterprise Vault" are only the fileserver which are at the moment offline that they where not found. 

and "re-run all checks" is also find no problems
