FSA duplicate folder name

Hello,

My question is about FSA.

What will be the archive name if two (or more) folder have the same name ?

AFAIK, EV gives the archive the same name as its folder name (if an archive point exist for the folder)

Let say we have configure the following target folder :

\\server1\D$\MainShare in ArchiveExplorerUI we should find and archive named MainShare

what will be the archive name if we configure the following target folder \\server2\D$\MainShare ?

Many thanks !

If you have two archives which would be named the same because they are synching the name of the folder they were created on, then you can change the name of the archive in the vault admin console using the following procedure:

You can absolutely do that
when FSA first targets a colume it creates an ArchivePoint which is a hidden configuration on the file system itself that contains a an Archive ID, which is unique, so that way EV doesn't really care about the folder name, it just cares about that unique ID
