Hi All,

Moved the EV server to a new server with a diffrent name and followed the technotes. But we have noticed that the FSA placeholders are poitning to the old server name.

How can I change the placeholders to point to the new EV server name?

Thanks

You can add an entry in the host file which as allias recort of you old evserver pointing to the new EV server.

Hi Rahul, Silly question but how would it do that?

Rather than host file entry, I would rather advise to make change in DNS record.

For eg: you have host record for old and new server as below:

oldev.domain.local

newev.domain.local

Now your placeholders are poiting to oldev.domain.local, you can do following:

Delete oldev.domain.local host record if not in use. Create a CNAME record for oldev.domain.local and point to to host record of newev.domain.local. Flush the dns cache on clients and server and check the result.
