Hi !

We have archived the files in Windows Server 2008R2. The files with extension .html are broken !

When we copy or consult the file, this is blank or broken.

When we try open with Notepad++ , it's display :

ev_html.PNG

Thanks for your help !

The version of EV is : 11.0.1.3527 in Windows Server 2008R2.

What happens if you double click the file?  You might want to consider excluding .html files from archiving in your Volume and/or Folder Archiving policy.

You can use FSA utility to restore the .html files back if you need to.

Thanks!

With FSAUtility I can restore the files.

If I double click the file, the file is extracted de l'archive but corrupt !
EV can archive .html files, no ? I don't want exclude the .html files from Policy.

EV has a bug in this version ??

Thanks.

how big are the .html files? are you going to delete them with a retention policy? are you performing eDiscovery on html files? what's the point of archiving them?

a placeholder wont be readable with notepad++ but you should be able to double click and retrieve them if everything is setup properly. the fact that you can restore them using fsautil means the archiving was fine and something in the environment messed with your placeholders either at the time of creation or afterwards.

My first use is to open the file by double clicking it but even that does not.
I saw that I could exclude the .html extension of the EV conversion (https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH62810.html). Do you think it could solve my problem?
