The id transaction is within the saveset id.

For example,

Try this:

http://enterprisevaultservername/enterprisevault/search.asp?Advanced=3

Other attribute Name = ssid

Value = Saveset ID of that item.

For example,

from that peace of information I got the list of corresponding idtransaction's

I was hoping that we can find some information about items, to be sure which item is lost

with this advanced search I just receive the following message:

No archived items match the search query.

how can I find the idtransaction of existing archived item to confirm that we have lost a specific number of items forever

Try a blanket search (ie

Try a blanket search (ie everything) on an archive, and then add in SSID as the 'other results' attribute, and see what you get, then try searching on one of the ones you know is there.
