First Search Connexion is very slow

Hello,

When a user trry to connect to the EV search interface is very slow. If the user reused this search  interface, the connexion is fast.

I tried without success  to disable  the "Recycle worker processs in minutes in the "EnterpriseVaultAppPool" in  (Regular Time Interval). But the problem is the same.

I have already set up with another client and it already worked. 

the only difference is that actual client is on MSCS Cluster. 

Are there any specific IIS configuration for the MSCS cluster to disable the timeout application pool ?

By client do you mean end user, or customer? Which version of EV?

There is nothing special for a cluster..i take you are not having any h/w lbs for EV. Reference this technote : http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH196888 Else the slowness could be something else...check iis logs and compare with a fiddler trace

The first connexion take 60 seconds. The second take 5 seconds.

Is the EVServer connected to internet?

I remember there might be a delay with the certificate revocation setting.

PS: A fiddler log from the client and the EVServer would actually reveal if the above is true (if of course the EVserver is not internet connected)

As Massimo points out, your symptoms have certainly been seen before and diagnosed as a delay caused by certificate revocation. It would be worthwhile working through this technote to see if that improves things:

There are additional steps of analysis and resolution, a fiddler output during the delay being one as Massimo mentioned, that could be pursued if that technote does not help, but you would probably need to open a case to get some direct support assistance on that

Hi rob,

I've applied the technote http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=HOWTO57491 and the the connexion with a windows login is fast. But when i passed by the gateway domino authentification, thes resposne is slow. I applied a new parameter on gateway domino (web cache 64 Mo to 256 mo) yesterday and i wait the response by users.

After several test with the end user, the problem is resolved by the paul technote and increase the web cache on gateway 64 Mo to 256 Mo.

Frankly I cannot see how the web cache increase from 64MB to 256MB would affect this behaviour, could you please clarify what exactly has been changed on the EVDG Domino Server?

i have two problems, When a user trry to connect with the windows authentification to the EV search interface is very slow. The technote http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=HOWTO57491 have resolved this problem, and i have an another problem with the domino authentification resolved b increasing the cache 64 to 256 MB because my client uses a ldaps for authentication for Lotus users.
