Folder based shortcut retentino period

EV 8 SP3 -

Our users want to create 3 retention folders with retention of - "1 year, 5 years and 10 years" which I have created with EVPM.
Now they would like to keep the shortcuts in -

1 year folder = 6 months long
5 years folder = 1 year long
10 years folder = 2 year long

and the default "inbox/etc.." folder shortcuts only 2 months.

Can I set different retention period for shortcuts based on folders?

thanks.

the best way to do this if you have Exchange 2003 to use Exchange Mailbox Manager (EMM) to clear out anything per folder at those times
unfortunately Enterprise Vaults shortcut expiry is a blanket all/nothing stuation

If you have Exchange 2007 you would be best off using Managed Folders and getting the Managed Folder to delete anything after a certain age

Jesus - Of all things, our organization decided to buy exchange 2007 standard, rather than enterprise and thus we do not have managed folders. This is another reason why I had to use EVPM to create those retention folders.

So we may have to use some exchange policy? Thoughts...

thanks...
