Followup Reminder - archiving

Can anyone help.

we have some users saying that followup reminders not poping up for them

we currently have

archive unexpired calendar off
do not archive pending reminders on
strip calendar attachments off

message types set to excludes appointments .

But still people saying if they have a reminder alert programmed for  after the date of a item reaching archiving date then they don't get the reminder poping up.

But i though it wouldn't archive them if it had followup alerts set.

Anyone got a solution.

Sorry currently running ev2007 sp5

Hi

You would open up archive explorer of that user, and see if he has got a "calendar" subfolder with items underneath.

If you have excluded IPM.Appointments* - then the Calendar item is not going to be archived at all by scheduled archinving - so maybe this is not an EV issue.

is it Calendar reminders of email reminders from a Flagged item that is not reminding?

Maybe try starting Outlook with the /cleanreminders switch?

Yes, this is probably not an EV issue, as they never get archived....
Can you confirm this by goint e.g. to Archive Explorer and check that they were not archived?

Cleanfreebusy might be a good first step in trying this ..  it's an Outlook command line switch.

Hope that helps,

Thanks

We are only archiving ipm.document, ipm.note and ipm.post

so it could be the ipm.appointment not being archved that's causing it.

Not sure how I would check for that with the archive explorer.  I believe the item was archived as it had the archive icon just trying to confirm this
