HTTP-Only Client Install Failing

Hello,

I am running EV 10 and I am currently upgrading from Office 2007 to Office 2010.  I have done this on two test machines but when I try and run the HTTP-Only Outlook Add-In it shows as  installed sucessfully in the Event Viewer but doesn't show in the Program Files folder or in Installed Programs.  These are Windows 7 workstations with Office 2010 Standard.

Thanks!

I seem to remember this issue a lot not so long ago, i believe the equivalent of msizap needed to be run and then reinstall

which version of the client are you installing? by the fact you're saying lite client/HTTP only, im guessing the 10 base version? you should try the 10 SP1 unified client instead

Yes, it is version 10 of the client.  I'll try the other client you recommended and let you know.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Ran msizap and then re-installed and everything worked.  I appreciate your help!

It would be interesting if you can get this into a reproducible situations, since perhaps there is something here that our installer guys should 'fix'.

I have two workstations (2 are all I have tested so far) that had this same problem.  I used MSIZap (equivilent) and installed the E-Vault client and it worked...UNTIL I rebooted the workstations and then the E-Vault client no longer shows in Outlook although it is listed in the Add-ins and I can disable the add-in and then re-enable the add-in and it works until Outlook is shut down again.

Any additional ideas?
