I have done some searching, and have only come up with these 2 posts:
http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/ev-1002-sql-server-2012-alwayson-availability-group
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/sql-always-support
These are both almost 2 years old, and call out potential support in 10.0.3. I checked the compatibilty guide (updated Jun 16) and it still lists a caveat for Always On:
AlwaysOn Availability Groups, and the use of supplementary characters in the range U+10000 to U+10FFFF are not supported
So my question to the community is - has anyone tested this? I think its a bit lame this is not supported, im not even trying to be cutting edge here - 2014 has been out for months! Not to mention 2012/AlwaysOn have been out for over 2 years! 2012 compatibility is great, but its not a lot of use to me if I cant take advantage of our HA/DR.

also, i've been working with EV Product Management gathering customer names to drive support for the AlwaysOn feature. if you'd like to PM or email me your info i'd be happy to include you in the list.

Thanks Rob, I will check the Ideas section for that.
After reading the compatibility guide a bit more, it sounds like only the 'always on availability groups' are unsupported, but I could run sql2012 with more standard HA methods like mirroring, log shipping, etc. and still be supported? Am I understanding that correctly? Here is a clip from the guide, page 13:

Thanks! I voted, and commented. I will send you a PM

correct and as with previous versions, you still need to turn off mirroring, log shipping, etc, for installing EV service packs, upgrades, etc.

Thank you for the heads up on that. I will have to do a bit of research, our old SQL environment was clustered with shared disks so I hadn't done anything like that before.
