Hi people,
Is there any way in Enterprise Vault 8.0 SP4 to do the mailbox export to just one single PST rather than segmented into multiple parts ?
beceause at the moment even if I didn't check the option to limit the size of individual destination PST, it is still exported in 1.4 GB chunks ?

No, you'd need to upgrade EV :

Hm.. I guess there is no other way than to upgrade it into version 9.0.4

Yep .. it was a long standing 'bug', or 'feature' that wasn't really updated with the later revisions of PST file format. It was eventually addressed in EV 9.0.2 I think. [It's in the link]

Yeah, now I know and have very compelling reason to upgrade into EV 10 myself.
thanks for the expalnation Rob !

If you can go to 10, that's great. But remember that EV 10 requires Windows 2008 R2 x64 as the OS. That's often a stumbling block for people on existing, lower, versions of Enterprise Vault.

Yes that will be in my agenda this year.
Hopefully the migration from EV9 into EV10 is seamless and no need to rollback from the backup.

Just to point though .. you don't need to go to EV 10 to fix -this- issue ... ie the issue of being able to export to one big, single PST file.

Yes, but somehow it would be great to run the latest and the greatest version before it is out of support :)
