I have tried to create a basket, add the mails which i need to restore in the basket and then tried restoring the mails in basket.

You could just export them to

You could just export them to pst.

Method 2 - Browser Search
This is the best method to selectively restore items to a PST file.

Before starting the export it is necessary to modify or create the webapp.ini file.

1. Open Windows Explorer, navigate to the Enterprise Vault program path (typically C:\program files\enterprise vault\) and search for webapp.ini.  If the file does not exist, create it using Notepad and save the file with ANSI encoding only.

2. Add the following lines to the Webapp.ini:

UseFederatedSearch= 1
FederatedSearchMaxItems= 10000
RestoreToPSTOption= All
or
RestoreToPSTOption= domain\user1,domain\user2

You may also need to add the following lines to the webapp.ini, since the default return is only 1000 items.  This is optimized for best performance, but may be modified temporarily.  The value of 10000 is an example, these parameters may be changed depending upon individual requirements.

ShowAllMaxResults= 10000
MaxRestoreItems = 10000

3. Save the Webapp.ini file, restart Internet Information Services (IIS) and clear the IE cache.

The alias and authenticating

The alias and authenticating server are to validate permissions, not as a restore point.  You'll need to restore the email to a folder in the mailbox from which it was archived, then you can move it to any other mailbox via Outlook.

Re: You could just export them to

it didn't work for Enterprise Vault 11;

I saved file two locations but it didn't

C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault\WebApp.ini

C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault\WebApp\WebApp.ini
