I need o free space on the volume where is the index's files

Hi All,

I'm have a problem with the volume disk where is the folder with the index's, I have no space in there....

I already create the new folder in a new volume disk and I have configured the index service to the new location...

I change my archive to use the new location, but nothing happens, the new index folder is empty....

Now I do the rebuid option in my archive properties and he creates the archive id on the index folder, but don't free any space on the other disk...

I'm running the Enterprise Vault 7.5

You have two options here:

Create a new index volume partition

Or split indexes between the two volumes:

If you have 6 index locations, move 3 over to the new volume then update it in the database.
