Which EV version? I assume the re-install of the indexing engine went fine. Did you also re-apply MP's (if installed)? I have seen similar errors. These were mostly caused by an update to the .Net version. (MS Patching).
I also found that reinstalling the indexing engine resolves this. As I am on 12.5.2 at the moment, I follow this document to do so: https://www.veritas.com/content/support/en_US/article.100037911

Hi Gertjan,
Unfortunalty the installation I am dealing with is 11.0.1. When I try and do the index reinstall it was strange because it would not let me do it because of a CHF Hotfix that was installed. I then Unsinatlled and reinstalled EV and the CHF and still the same.

I tried reinstalling the index engine again and this time it took.
