Infected file in vault store

Hi,

 

 End point protection found virus in file can we delete this file then what effect will
 

S:\Enterprise Vault Stores\EV10 Vault Store Ptn1\2013\04-01\A\14F\A14F970119C9CB7CB7FF390C161DE981~21~37F1F78F~00~1

Well, if the antivirus logs say that the item has been deleted, then it won't be in the above location...

 

You'll need to see if the files have been deleted-but-put-in-a-quarantine-location.

 

If they've not, then you will need to restore the files from backup (after changing your antivirus exclusions)

Do not scan your vault store partitions with antivirus software....

Thats your vault store partition which contains archived files in various file formats such as .dvs, dvssp, dvscc and .cab's. You should not allow AV application to scan these locations, deleting these files will cause data loss. Users will not be able to view those archived items if AV deletes these files from partition location.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Scanned by Real time scanner and found a virus A14FA92B5478CEB5A87330782921B261~23~49A07AE1~00~1.DVSCC as Antivirus logs showing file is deleted but i can see this file on above location.
